SCHOLARSHIPS FOR MS AND PhD PROGRAMMES IN WESTERN UNIVERSITIES
Applications are invited for six MS (Biochemistry, Immunology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Physiology / Cell Biology & Genetics, Medical Education) and thirteen PhD (Anatomy, Biochemistry, Immunology, Microbiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Physiology / Cell Biology & Genetics, Medical Education) Scholarships in Western Universities under HEC Scheme through collaborative program.
The applicants are required to fulfill the following conditions:
- Must hold MBBS, BDS or any other degree recognized by the University as equivalent to aforementioned degrees.
- Required to clear International GRE (General) and IELTS.
- Submit Curriculum Vitae, University transcript and copies of Academic Certificates & Degrees.
- Documentary evidence of previous Research Activities including publications.
- A personal letter of intent with a brief autobiography.
- One page research proposal.
- Maximum age on closing date:
- 40 years for full time regular faculty members of public sector Universities/ Colleges and employees of the public sector R & D organizations.
- 35 years for all others.
- A Bank Draft of Rs 1000/= as nonrefundable processing fee drawn in favor of Treasurer, University of Health Sciences, Lahore.
The selection shall be strictly on merit based on qualifications, experience & research record as well as interview. Those selected will be on pay roll of the University and will have to sign an affidavit that on successful completion of the Degree they will serve the University as faculty members for a period of 10 years; otherwise all expenditures incurred on them will have to be paid to the University.
Applications on prescribed form along with attested copies of degrees/certificates, experience certificates, copies of NIC and three passport size photographs must reach the office of the Registrar by 12-04-2008.Those in service must apply through proper channel. Those who have already applied need not apply again. Incomplete applications shall not be entertained. Application forms can be obtained from the office or downloaded from UHS website.
