Virtual Private Network

University of Health Sciences (UHS) library, with the support of Department of Information Technology (DIT) of the university, has deployed Virtual Private Network (VPN) to facilitate library users in their researches through providing them remote access to digital library/electronic resources of the University. The facility will assist users access to full text electronic resources; including articles and books when they are away from the university campus.

How to Obtain VPN Use Credentials

VPN use credentials may be obtained by submitting duly filled VPN request form to UHS library. The VPN request form may be found from UHS library or downloaded from [For Faculty | For Students]. The processing time is one working day.

VPN Use Policies

a. VPN facility is for individual use only.

b. VPN Users are requested to bring their laptops for getting VPN configured. Alternatively, they can download configuration guidelines

c. VPN users are responsible for the security of their access credentials. Any unauthorized use will be liable to disciplinary action.

d. Unauthorized use of the VPN is strictly prohibited and is strongly discouraged. University reserves the right to take legal action against culprits.

e. Any kind of misuse, redirection, use of network discovery tools and penetration testing is not permitted to use while connected to UHS network.

f. University may suspend or block the VPN account on violation of use policies.

g. UHS reserves the right to audit all VPN client systems, and all communication between VPN users systems and the UHS network, for compliance with all applicable information technology services security requirements
