Introduction

University Library is situated on the ground floor, which has been continuously disseminating the latest knowledge/information to its undergraduate & postgraduate students, staff and to the entire health and medical sector. University Library is fully engaged in providing effective library services for the promotion of higher education, research and extension activities. This library is in developing phase and it will be in operation comprising of latest equipments, facilities and comfortable furniture etc. It will also have latest medical and health journals published all around the world to keep our medical graduates in touch with the latest advancements and researches going on.

Services

The UHS Library will act as resource center cum Library. The latest edition of medical books are acquired to cater the information needs of M.Phil, Ph.D students and faculty. The following services are provided at initial stage:

• The access to HEC Digital Library is available with more than 23,000 online journals with full text/abstracts and 40,000 online books.


• Photocopy service is provided to UHS students for Library material only at a very nominal charges of Rs. 1.50 per copy


• Internet facility is available to UHS students free of cost. Fourteen Pentium - IV terminals are available for this purpose


• Scanning and print out facility is available at very nominal charges


• Reference service is provided to UHS students specially using MEDLINE & MEDLAR Databases.
