Facilities
Apart from teaching, training and research & development, the institute is providing various preventive and curative services to the general public. The services include;
- MCH center which provides preventive and curative health services to mother and children of the catchment area of approximately 10000 population
- Vaccination center provide unique facility of yellow fever vaccination in addition to regular EPI services
- Preventive dental health services to the human population by dental public health department
- AIDS Surveillance Center working under the National AIDS Program of National Institute of Health
- Provincial TB reference Lab working under National TB control program
- Anti rabies Clinic working as the largest anti rabies clinic in the province
- Water testing lab; providing Bacteriologic Surveillance of the drinking water quality in the province of Punjab
- Advisory role for prevention and control of various diseases in Punjab
Resources
- Teaching Facilities
Instructional facilities like auditorium, lecture and conference rooms are available for academic purposes. These are well furnished and equipped with latest modern teaching aids.
- Computer Lab
The organization has computer section equipped with more than twenty-four computers along with accessories (laser printers and scanners). A wide array of software is available including statistical packages, programming languages, analytical programs, and word processing packages.
- Library
The library has large collection of books, periodicals, journals and audio-visual materials. Internet, MEDLINE and other computer-based systems facilitates the access to latest published and unpublished material/literature.
