Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital

This is the principal site for clinical teaching. It is a 500 bedded hospital, situated at Jallo More, one and a half kilometer from the main academic campus. Commissioned by the Ghurki Family Trust and planned by the distinguished Architect Mr. Nayyer Dada. It caters population of more than 1.2 Million people of the surrounding villages. In addition to providing outpatient and inpatient facilities, it provides Intensive Care Services as well as Operation Theaters for General Surgery Ophthalmology and Orthopedic Surgery Dedicated delivery rooms for child birth are provided.

Patient are seen and evaluated at several of the Rural out reach programs and are referred to this hospital for diagnostic workup and inpatient and outpatient services.

Doctors Hospital & Medical Centre

This hospital is the brainchild of a group of Pakistani- American doctors who were working in the USA. Some of them relocated to Pakistan. With the utmost dedication they have supervised the construction and functioning of this hospital. Within a short space of time this hospital has become a center of excellence for health care in Pakistan. It caters to patients not only locally from Lahore but also from other cities of Punjab and NWFP areas. Located in a scenic setting near the canal bank. The building decor can rival any five star facilities in the western world. It uses sophisticated biomedical technology especially in the field of diagnostic imaging. The facility has Mammography, mobile x-ray, fluoroscopy, C-arms and a state of the art Cardiac cath laboratory. A Helical CT and open MRI is among the state of art equipment available in the hospital. The Cardiac Surgery program is the best in Lahore. The Orthopedic Surgery department undertakes most sophisticated surgeries that are available anywhere in the world and has obviated the need for patients to go abroad for orthopedic procedures. These surgeries can be seen live in the auditorium by senior students. Procedures are also beamed across town to the main campus via internet. The staff of Doctors Hospital have also been trained in America and England with several years of experience in teaching and training of residents. In order to make services of the hospital easily accessible to the general public, a patient welfare auxiliary has been established to help fund the care of the needy both in inpatient and outpatient sections. An additional 150 bed inpatient facility along with ambulatory care is being constructed presently. As several of the partners are still based in America there is a free exchange of ideas in continuing medical education and transfer of technology that the students of Lahore Medical College can benefit from.

Surgimed Hospital

This is 145 bedded hospital with 30 charity beds situated at a central location only a few minutes drive from the Mall Road. It has the latest facilities and a talented and qualified faculty. This hospital provides services in medicine, surgery, orthopedic surgery, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatrics and gynecology. It also houses a state of the art infertility Center.

Library with a vast collection of medical books, newspapers, journals, multimedia facilities is open for all students and teachers of the college. Books are issued for 14 days to students and for ... days to teachers. Membership is required for lending books. University of Health Sciences has provided on-line access to almost 17000 international journals all over the world.

In house, mess facility along with a vast range of eatables is available from the college cafeteria at a reasonable price.

Two spacious hostels with all services including telephone facilities, for girls and boys, to accommodate nearly 600 students, are available adjacent to the college premises. A 146 room internees hostel has been added. Security staff remains alert on duty for 24 hours. Transport has been provided for hostilities for their clinical work in affiliated hospitals. The hostel atmosphere is calm, quite and conducive for studies. The security and comforts of the students always remains our prime object.

In house banking facility for students, teachers and faculty is also available through PICIC commercial bank.

College has made contractual arrangement of air conditioned coasters for pick and drop for the students and staff.
