Emergency Services
Emergency Service is available round the clock for adult and paediatric cardiac patients. 14 bedded fully equipped emergency ward with trained staff is available to receive all sort of cardiac emergencies. Free treatment is provided to all the patients in emergency.
Out Patient Department
Out Patient Department (OPD) operates in all working days from 8:00am to 3:00pm. While from 8:00am to 12:00 noon on Friday. There are daily OPD clinics for adult & paediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery. A medical record file is maintained for every patient attending OPD.
Indoor Services
Indoor facilities with total capacity of 292 beds comprises of 27 bedded coronary care units (CCU), 20 bedded intensive care units (ICU), general wards with 181 beds, 13 private rooms & five executive rooms on each cardiology and cardiac surgery floor.
Pathology Collection Center
To facilitate private patients a pathology collection center is functional outside the premises of hospital. The facility is open round the clock. All pathology tests are done on economical prices.
Private Consultation
All consultant cardiologists and cardiac surgeons perform Institutional Private Practice within the premises of hospital in the evening. Those who want their checkup in an exclusive environment may consult in the evening by appointment. Following indoor facility is available for private patients:

PIC Pharmacy
PIC pharmacy is providing quality medicines and disposables to the cardiology and cardiac surgery patients at subsidized rates. The PIC pharmacy is directly importing the medicines and disposables from manufacturers to avoid the doubt of contamination.
Recent Developments
Punjab Institute of Cardiology, Lahore is in its way to continuous improvement and modernization. Some of its recent developments are listed below:
- To increase the capacity of residential accommodation for doctors and nurses, construction of new hostels has been started.
- Two Thumb Reader attendance machines have been installed to ensure the presence of staff.
- A newly constructed corporate style Administrative Hall is commissioned to increase the efficiency of Admin Staff which shall also improve the administrative control.
- Security cameras have been installed at key points to monitor the working of staff.
- Extension of parking area has been started to facilitate the public.
- The provision of free medicines have been enhanced from 02 weeks to 04 weeks to facilitate poor patients.
