Discipline Specific Faculty Council (DSFC) Histopathology Seminar
Date: 20th August 2025
The Department of Histopathology, University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, organized the DSFC “SLIDE” Seminar – Learning, Insights & Diagnostic Expertise.
The session was held under the patronage of UHS leadership and brought together faculty from various UHS-affiliated colleges through both in-person and online participation.
Objectives of the Seminar:
- To foster academic collaboration and share teaching resources
- To enhance diagnostic expertise through case-based discussions of rare entities
- To provide a platform for discussion and resolution of curriculum-related issues for undergraduate MBBS students as per the UHS 2K23 Curriculum
Key Presentations Included: Renal dysplasia, Gastrointestinal lymphoma, Myxofibrosarcoma, and the role of FNAC in diagnostic practices.
The seminar successfully promoted a culture of research, collegiality, and cross-institutional learning. Participants appreciated UHS for initiating this valuable platform and recommended more focused sessions on the modular pathology curriculum.
